What it does
Set your five on the court, tap Run Intro, and the announcer reads each name in turn over a hype track. Starting five or the whole team.
Switch on Game time and tap a player: a three, an and-one, a steal, a sub. The announcer says it by name, right then.
Pads for the moments in between: a timeout countdown, an air horn, a buzzer, and chants like "Let's go" and "Defense."
Built-in tracks or your own files for timeouts and halftime. A call lowers the music and brings it back. It never cuts it off.
Game night
Plays through your Bluetooth speaker and keeps playing with the screen locked.
Announcer lines are made ahead of time, when you set your roster, and your music lives on the phone.
Tell the announcer how a name sounds, and pick the voice that calls it.
FAQ
If it has an aux input, run a cable from your phone and the whole gym hears the announcer. Otherwise any Bluetooth speaker does the job.
Yes. Starting five reads the five on the court. Full team carries on through the bench, then the assistant coaches and the head coach, all over the same hype track. You set the pause between names.
Yes. Rewrite the intro's opening line, the line read for each player and each coach, and the closing line. Drop in a player's name, number and position or your team's name, and the preview shows every line with your real roster filled in.
No. Break music is the royalty-free tracks built into Hoops DJ, or music files you add from your phone. Nothing streams, so all of it plays without a signal.
Players never sign up: the adult running the team enters the roster, and it stays in that account, not on any public page. Hoops DJ shows no ads and doesn't sell your information. The Privacy Policy has the details.
It's free to start. A Season Pass, bought in the app, unlocks more teams and players.
